Progressing and improving in surfing is often a slow task because of the frequency of baths, living far from the sea or simply because of the little time spent on a wave. You want to work on your surf skills, but there are no waves? Or you’re a passionate surfer, but unfortunately you do not live right on the ocean and you always have to travel long distances to the next surf and still want to work on your turns daily and feel the board under your feet? Then you should try our Dry Surf Training on our Dry Surf Balance Boards.

Dry Surf Training is a system to enhance surfing skills like balance, concentration, fluency and enables you to do exercices preventing or recovering from injuries. The Dry Surf Balance Training assists in the practice of maneuvers out oft he water and activates the neuronal stimulation because the brain corrects and memorizes the trained movements.

DRY SURFING IS A FULL BODY WORKOUT

Through the flexible balance board, the sport is also suitable as a therapeutic training because the practice on our functional balance boards in combination with suspension training and fitness balls exercise all of your muscles. This way the training causes a strengthening of the muscles, a better balance, agility and flexibility. At the same time your proprioception is increased.
The result: an improved body sensation and coordination.

On our flexible boards you can practice your take-offs and maneuvers almost in the same way as if it were in the water – but at a rate of 40-60 take-offs per hour. The coach corrects your posture and your movements. Furthermore, you prepare your body for extreme situations: reflexes get internalized and instincts controlled. After just one session you will notice how much your feel for surfing and your balance improved

WHAT IT IS DRY SURF TRAINING?

 

1. A FUNCTIONAL BALANCE SURF TRAINING SYSTEM TO PREPARE FOR SURFING

The Dry Surf Training System is a functional balance surf training system which is designed to prepare and protect the musculoskletal system accordingly to what surf athletes require to avoid  unnecessary injuries wich occur due to insufficient preparation or by poor execution of excercises.

2. A SURF TRAINING SYSTEM WHICH ACTIVATES MUSCLE FIBERS

The Dry Surf Training System reactivates the maximum of muscle fibers and simultaneously is activating our balance within the cardiovacular work with avoiding damaging your joints. The Balance system is a multifunctional tool with activates more than 600 muscles at once. Accompanied with our functional surf training, it becomes an allround tool for surfers to practice surfing out oft he water.

3. DRY SURF TRAINING WILL MAXIMIZE YOUR PERFORMANCE LEVEL OF SURFING

The Dry Surf Training is designed for maximum performance. The system allows us to perform all exercices that are normaly performed in the water to be performed indoors and on the ground. The range of the training system will give you the opportunity of inclination in lateral movements and in movements back and forth. So there are more options to execute exercises, it is higher effective and is a better simulation tool for surfing than all the tools that you can find on the market.

The Dry Surf Training System allows us to practice and work on your take-off. It is possible to perform between 40 to 60 take-offs per our which is the best way to prepare for the water. 5. DRY SURF TRAINING WILL STIMULATE YOUR NEURONAL SYSTEM

Neuronal stimulation, because our brain corrects and memorizes every movement and automatically stimulates our muscles. Repetition of the right movements in a correct form will decrease the need for attention and creates maximum efficiency within the motor and memory systems. Surfing becomes automatic and will improve with your practice.

6. DRY SURF TRAINING IS SURFTRAINING IN A SMOOTH WAY

Proprioception, the most important in any kind of training, it is the form of communication in our nervous system to send the instruction that need to be received by your ligaments to protect our joints which leads to less injuries.

7. DRY SURF TRAINING IS A FOCUSED TRAINING

Postural hygiene, In each exercise we take care that only the muscles we want to be trained are being trained without damaging other muscles or joints. To build up a long-term muscle memory you need to repeat movements over and over again. After performing turns for example over and over again on a dry surf board, it will allow you to perform them without conscious effort on the surfboard.

8. DRY SURF TRAINING WILL IDENTIFY AND CORRECT YOUR MISTAKES

Dry Surf Training will set the focus on how to avoid and correct your mistakes during surfing. Such as the correct stance, the pointing of your eyes, shoulders and body; head and shoulder movements to initiate turns or the position of your hands and arms. We will identify your mistakes and show you common mistakes. We will answer those questions on our dry surf boards. Dry Surf Training makes it easier for you and us to work on the identification and correction of your mistakes because we have more time for analysing them. Repeating the surf maneuvers during our dry surf training will help you to eliminate mistakes in no time.

Our classes take place in our Functional Training Studio in El Cotillo, close to FreshSurf!

I have no experience at all - Can I come?

Our Dry Surf Training Sessions are designed for any level. Either you are an absolute beginner or an intemediate, Dry Surf Training will speed up your surfing and helps you to improve significantly.
